Arrest Made in Mumbai for Extortion Attempt

Mumbai police have arrested a 30-year-old man, Ganga Kunchikurve, for attempting to extort Rs 2 lakh from a local hotel owner in Dahisar. Along with two accomplices and wielding sharp weapons, the gang demanded Rs. 2 lakhs in cash and free alcohol from the hotel manager. When the manager refused, they threatened him. Although the other two suspects are still at large, Kunchikurve was arrested on Monday, 5th June 2023 following complaint by the Hotel Manager and AHAR . The suspects are expected to face extortion charges under Indian Penal Code section 387 and relevant sections of the Maharashtra Police Act.

AHAR would like to thank Shri.Sudhir Kudalkar Sir, Senior Inspector of MHB Police Station and the team for their timely action against the History Sheeter and extortionist, Ganga Kunchikurve, who had a criminal background in various cases. He used to extort in the area as you can see in the videos that is being circulated.
The police came into action as soon as a complaint was received from the concerned hotelier and AHAR
This great effort from the Senior Inspector Shri Kudaljkar ji of MHB Police Station and his entire team has not only allowed the hoteliers to do their business with ease but also without any fear from such criminals.
