AHAR Delegation Meets Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal Ji to Address Key Hospitality Industry Concerns

A delegation representing AHAR, comprising Dr. Harish Shetty and Dr. Satish Shetty, recently met with the Hon. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry and respected Member of Parliament, Shri Piyush Goyal Ji, at his Vanijya Bhavan office in New Delhi. The meeting primarily focused on the persistent challenges faced by the hospitality industry concerning copyright organizations such as PPL and Novex, along with other key industry-related concerns. The Hon’ble Minister took proactive cognizance of these issues and advised AHAR to report any further grievances, while also proposing a forthcoming panel discussion in Delhi or Mumbai with AHAR office bearers to work toward a conclusive resolution on copyright matters. In alignment with AHAR’s ongoing efforts to address hawker-related challenges, the delegation also highlighted this issue, to which Shri Goyal Ji responded with keen concern for business development and shared his vision of an “Uttam Mumbai.” He encouraged AHAR and its members to report unauthorized use of footpaths and public roads by hawkers, while urging the restaurant community to lead by example in keeping public spaces clear, thereby strengthening a collective commitment to an improved urban environment. AHAR, under the leadership of its President Shri Vijay K. Shetty, expressed sincere gratitude to Shri Piyush Goyal Ji for his valuable time, guidance, and positive approach toward the hospitality industry.
